I GOT THE JOB! I GOT THE JOB! Starting next school year I will be the teacher-librarian-media-specialists at Dr. Joe Bernal Middle School Librarian. GO BLACK KNIGHTS!
What if I can't do it? What if I was only meant for elementary? What if I don't get it? What if I let them down?
I know I need to silent that noise out. I have an great group of friends and support that keep me on my toes and an awesome husband that reminds me I CAN do this at every negative turn I take. I am so grateful for them!
I know I'm going to give it my all and that I'm excited to take on this challenge. I can't wait to learn all about the middle school program and how I can make a difference in it. I'm hoping that passion and drive is enough to give me some success in the middle school world.
BUT my happiness is a little grey with sadness as I know I am going to miss my current elementary school. I have had the pleasure of working with, collaborating with, and more importantly learning from some of the most wonderful teachers in the profession. They opened their doors to me and welcomed me from day 1 and not just me but my babies as well. I am no doubt going to miss this wonderful group of teachers that will forever be a part of my teaching family. And I can't say enough about my administration team. If I could take them with me I would! Their trust and confidence in me as the school's librarian and a campus leader is truly a gift and I will forever be grateful to Mr. Mackey and Mrs. Garcia for that. I truly learned so much from them and appreciate their support in me during my time with them and in the years to come with my future goals. But I know this isn't a goodbye but a "see ya later, my friends!"
adios, 2013-14 school year and helloooooooo, 2014-15! you are going to be the best year evaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!
